Why spray booth door seals matter

A spray booth only holds its air balance if the doors seal. Once the rubber hardens or the foam tape compresses, the cabin leaks, pressure drops, and unfiltered air pulls in around the door line.

Re-sealing the doors is one of the cheapest jobs on a booth and one of the first things worth checking when finish quality starts drifting. The spray booth airflow and pressure guide explains how booth pressure works, and why a booth running negative draws workshop air in through the door seals.

Seal kits

Spray booth door seal kits: aluminium or panel doors

Each kit is the two parts that seal the front doors: door seal rubber and door foam tape. Replace both together when the seal has gone hard, flattened, or is letting air past the door jambs. Pick the kit that matches your doors, then the size: standard car booth or truck and bus booth.

Aluminium doors

The rubber runs on the cabin: up the right wall, across above the doors and back down the left wall. The foam tape fits between the centre door jambs.

Panel doors

The rubber runs on the cabin above the top of the doors only. The foam tape goes between all of the door jambs.

Front doors

Each kit includes the front door handle, a keyway, two bushes and four fixings. Choose M5 screws or 3/16 inch rivets.

Access door handle kit

A handle set to replace on an access or escape door: one front door handle, one access door handle, four screws, a keyway and a keyway bush.

Hinges and closers

Heavy duty hinges and door closers

The heavy duty hinge upgrade kit moves your booth doors onto cast iron hinges. Each kit has three hinges, six aluminium retrofit plates and the hardware, with each hinge 187mm long, 117mm wide and 15mm high. Choose the complete three door set or the middle bifold door.

Replacing one hinge? The heavy duty hinge is sold on its own.
