What is in the kit
The kit is the two parts that seal an aluminium door spray booth: door seal rubber and door foam tape. Choose the size that suits your booth, either a standard car booth or a truck and bus booth.
Where each part goes
On an aluminium door design, the door seal rubber runs on the cabin: up the right wall, across above the top of the doors, and back down the left wall. The door foam tape fits between the centre door jambs.
If your booth has panel doors rather than aluminium doors, the layout is different and you want the panel door seal replacement kit instead. On panel doors the rubber runs above the top of the doors only, and the foam tape goes between all of the door jambs.
Why spray booth door seals matter
A spray booth only holds its air balance if the doors seal. Once the rubber hardens or the foam tape compresses, the cabin leaks, pressure drops, and unfiltered air pulls in around the door line. Re-sealing the doors is one of the cheapest jobs on a booth and one of the first things worth checking when finish quality starts drifting. The spray booth airflow and pressure guide explains how booth pressure works.
Buying the parts separately
If only one part has gone, both components are sold on their own:
- Spray booth rubber door seal, in 3.2 metre and 10 metre lengths or a 50 metre roll
- Spray booth door foam tape, as a 15 metre roll
Both suit Lowbake booths in panel and aluminium door designs.
